To see burn victims successfully transition back into active life after a burn injury, becoming burn survivors.
The Peter Hughes Burn Foundation aims to offer support to burn survivors in the ongoing processes of physical and emotional recovery from burns injuries.
It aims to provide its members with experiences that develop and strengthen physical, emotional, psychological and social resilience; and
Provide forums within which burn survivors are able to connect with each-other, building a community of support.
The Peter Hughes Burn Foundation will:
- Do its best to ensure the services we provide to burn survivors are the best available according to up-to-date evidence and practice.
- Monitor the needs for burn survivors in the contemporary social, cultural and medical context and adjust its resources we provide in order to best fit them.
- Provide the best outcomes for burn survivors and their carers through collaboration with other not-for-profit organisations
- Undertake corporate partnerships where they compliment and remain consistent with our core values and aims
- Strive to provide maximum value by seeking to minimise administration costs and seek the assistance of a volunteer workforce where it is appropriate to do so.
